Hoff Water Wedge: Fall 16 + Spring 17
Based on the theme of interpersonal distance and the fluidity of romance- I designed and prototyped a pair of transparent water-filled wedges for Madeline Hofmaier’s undergraduate fashion thesis collection.

I created this model using guide curves and lofted surfaces in Solidworks.
Mold Making Process
I began prototype manufacturing with a 3D print for scale and form validation. After correcting the CAD model, I CNC milled the base mold form with draft angles, and coated it to protect the mold from warping during vacuum forming.
Prototype Testing
